Wellington Ultrasound Course


13th - 14th February 2015

The course will be held at the Amora Hotel, Wellington CBD, NZ

This is a comprehensive two-day ultrasound course designed for the intermediate-beginning student-sonologist, practitioners who need a refresher to get back on-track, and anyone interested in learning Focused Echocardiography. The course includes over eight hours of hands-on scanning. Topics covered will include a History of Bedside Ultrasound, Physics and Instrumentation, FAST, Female Pelvis, Procedural, AAA, Renal, Hepatobiliary, DVT, IVC, Thoracic, QA issues, and virtually an entire day dedicated to Echocardiography. An on-line pre-test will be provided prior to the course and a post-test after completion. Certificates will be awarded to all of those who successfully complete the course.

Advanced Wilderness Life Support

This Advanced Wilderness Life Support® course is offered as part of the Wilderness Medical Society Mountain Medicine meeting. Lectures and workshops provided in the WMS meeting will apply to your AWLS® certification. All AWLS registrants must also be registered for the WMS meeting.
